9th & Bay is based on the life story of Nick Lanciano. It’s the first feature-length feature film for Lanciano Productions and tells the story of an ordinary guy leading an ordinary life who realizes to find true happiness and success, one must go to extra-ordinary lengths.
For the film, Nick took on a myriad of roles from director to co-writer to producer to star – making his acting debut in the lead role.
Three years in the making, the film was shot, produced and edited for the incredibly meager sum of $10,000. There were no investors, no backers… all money for the film was raised by Nick Lanciano himself. Principal shooting was wrapped up in September, 2008 and the film debuted at The Ritz at the Bourse in Philadelphia in May, 2009.
